Responsibilities

  • Observe construction work and submit detailed daily documentation of contractor activities and progress.
  • Research contract requirements to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Inspect materials and components of roadway and/or bridge projects to meet safety codes.
  • Review or generate pay applications for client payment.
  • Coordinate project testing lab resources for quality assurance testing.
  • Maintain equipment and vehicle in good working condition and report issues promptly.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Utilize personal smartphone for project communication and departmental tasks.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • HCMTCB Materials Sampling and Testing Certification preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and apply concepts of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Basic personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Site Manager knowledge preferred.
