The Institutional Research Analyst, Sr-IRIM position at Eastern Michigan University is a full-time role within the Academic and Student Affairs division. The primary focus of this position is to develop and maintain systems that enhance the utility of the Institutional Research and Information Management (IRIM) data warehouse. This includes creating and managing online and automated reporting facilities, providing statistical support, and conducting enrollment forecasting. The analyst will be responsible for collecting and auditing both primary and secondary data sources to ensure the accuracy of data for analysis, which is critical for informed decision-making within the institution. In this role, the analyst will develop and manage web-based interfaces and procedures that facilitate access to data stored in the data warehouse. They will provide expert design and web development for IRIM, ensuring that the systems are user-friendly and efficient. Project management skills will be essential as the analyst will be involved in the design and testing of systems within a data warehouse environment, as well as providing database administration management and support. The analyst will compile and manage complex data sets and other information to support institutional studies, identifying, gathering, analyzing, and organizing institutional data to provide accurate and timely information. They will prepare annual reports related to student, faculty, and enrollment data, and analyze and report data from the data warehouse in response to ad hoc information requests. Additionally, the analyst will respond to information requests from governmental, private, and public institutions, as well as internal sources, and work collaboratively with the IRIM team to develop online reports for the data warehouse. The role also involves assisting IRIM in identifying appropriate data collection methods to ensure the reliable, appropriate, and legal use of institutional information.
