About the position
The Installation Engineer at TEKsystems is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. This role involves engineering design evaluations, product installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, ensuring that products meet customer needs effectively. The engineer will work under immediate supervision, relying on established guidelines to perform their duties, and will also be involved in training and mentoring supported teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and analyze technical products and systems.
- Perform engineering design evaluations and develop a range of products.
- Recommend alterations to development and design to improve product quality and procedures.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain products and equipment.
- Identify, analyze, and repair product failures, ordering and replacing parts as needed.
- Determine and recommend products or services that best fit customer needs.
- Use various software systems and applications to troubleshoot issues related to network connectivity and managed services equipment.
- Train and mentor supported teams.
Requirements
- May require a bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 0 to 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the engineering field.
