About the position

The Installation Manager at Leaf Home is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Installation department within a local field office. This role involves providing leadership and tactical execution on production activities, including customer scheduling, service resolution, training, and managing a network of third-party installers. The position aims to enhance operational efficiency and ensure high-quality installation services for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Assign installation jobs to third-party installers based on availability and geographic proximity.
  • Identify opportunities to expedite jobs and maximize speed to installation.
  • Schedule jobs with customers based on installer availability and preferences.
  • Review and publish daily installation and service reports to identify wins and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with office staff to ensure organized workflow from scheduling to installation completion.
  • Partner with Service and Sales Operations teams to proactively address and resolve customer issues.
  • Train, coach, and develop installation employees and contractors in both office and field settings.
  • Improve subcontractor retention rates through effective training and engagement.
  • Drive proficiency and efficiency among installation subcontractors.
  • Work with the Field Trainer to assess individual performance and capabilities of installers.
  • Identify systemic training gaps and propose solutions in collaboration with leadership.
  • Recruit subcontractors as needed to expand installation capacity.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in home construction, remodeling, or installation management.
  • Proven track record in recruiting, training, and onboarding subcontractors.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality in the installation process.
  • Ability to teach through hands-on and documentation-based methods.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and shift focus as needed.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to evaluate arguments and find inconsistencies.
  • Ability to provide timely and empathetic customer support through various communication channels.
  • Self-driven and responsible for achieving business goals.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in residential remodeling, plumbing, electrical work, and installation of bathrooms and kitchens.
