About the position

As an Installation Project Leader (IPL) for Label at BOBST, you will oversee and manage the installation of new machinery at customer sites. This role involves ensuring a seamless process from order receipt to final acceptance, addressing technical, organizational, logistical, and administrative aspects of each project. You will collaborate closely with sales, technical support, and customer teams, acting as the central point of reference for project progress.

Responsibilities

• Manage installations of Label Products at customer sites.
• Inquire about customer orders and collaborate with sales forces.
• Read and understand sales contracts to fulfill conditions.
• Coordinate projects between different partners.
• Define and validate technician profiles based on products to be installed.
• Ensure technicians understand their mission objectives.
• Anticipate crisis situations and travel proactively as needed.
• Establish and monitor the installation budget and costs.
• Prepare and supervise the equipment installation site.
• Ensure production starts according to sales conditions.
• Maintain quality of databases regarding project status and delivery dates.
• Know customer acceptance requirements and implement them for timely signatures.
• Define and monitor installation schedules based on customer constraints.
• Support technicians professionally and respectfully.
• Measure progress and address deviations to meet deadlines, costs, and quality.
• Report progress and issues to line manager and Customer Project Management.
• Validate warranty costs before and after project acceptance.
• Monitor open issues for rapid resolution.
• Ensure operators and maintenance personnel receive appropriate training.
• Delegate and monitor resolution of technical issues to support teams.
• Notify technical support of machine acceptance and project closure.
• Organize post-acceptance visits and close the project.

Requirements

• Mechanical or electrical engineering degree with experience in industrial equipment installation.
• Technical project management experience or after-sales service experience in industrial machine installation.
• Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, MS Project or equivalent tools.
• Assertive personality with the ability to maintain courteous yet demanding relationships.
• Effective communication skills and a positive mindset.
• Methodical, organized, and autonomous with decision-making capabilities.
• Pragmatic and customer-oriented approach.
• Dynamic and flexible with availability for client-adapted schedules.
• Ability to manage stress and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
