About the position
The Installation Technician at BFS Installs LLC is responsible for the installation of commercial office furniture and related activities. This role involves driving to various client sites, ensuring high-quality installations, and maintaining safety standards. The technician will work closely with the installation team and warehouse staff to deliver exceptional service and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform installations across various client sites with a focus on quality and safety
- Collaborate with warehouse and installation team members to ensure efficient operations
- Troubleshoot installation challenges and communicate effectively with clients
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
- Take job-site direction from Lead Installer to install contract systems furniture in a timely fashion
- Unload systems furniture orders from truck, deliver and stage product at the customer's site for installation
- Complete furniture assembly/installation as per installation specifications and blueprints to meet customer's satisfaction
- Inspect furniture for proper operability according to manufacturer's guidelines
- Follow all safety procedures in the performance of job duties
- Unload incoming furniture trucks using material handling equipment (i.e., dollies, panel carts, pallet jack)
- Lift, push or pull equipment/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds to office location
- Conduct customer contact in a professional and courteous manner
Requirements
- Previous experience in installations or a related field is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be comfortable with physical tasks and able to lift 50 lbs
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must have a certified medical license to drive a commercial vehicle
- Passing annual DOT physical exams is required
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in warehouse operations or installations preferred
- Knowledge of Spanish is a plus
