About the position
The Installation Technician at Altamira Ltd. is responsible for the delivery, assembly, installation, and education of home accessibility equipment for the elderly and disabled. This part-time role involves working directly with clients in Kentucky and Tennessee, ensuring that equipment is installed correctly and safely while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Representing the company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with clients.
- Deliver, install, and service home medical equipment to clients in Kentucky and Tennessee, including mobility and accessibility products.
- Checking deliveries received in the warehouse to ensure orders are correct and undamaged.
- Demonstrate and explain equipment in the client's home and obtain appropriate documentation.
- Provide assistance to the Installation Manager as needed.
- Repair equipment at a client's home and in the warehouse.
- Loading and unloading of trucks.
- Complete monthly vehicle inventories and assist with warehouse inventory as needed.
- Logging complaints from patients and facilitating follow-up.
- Maintain cleanliness of the company vehicle and keep it stocked with needed supplies.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
- Report equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with Company policy.
- Participate in training classes and in-services when provided.
- Participate in Company committees and meetings when requested.
- Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
- Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Installation Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Installation Manager.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of mechanic experience.
- Mechanical inclination and aptitude in tool use.
- Effective interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record for the past three years.
- Drug-free.
