About the position

The Installer role within the Service team is primarily responsible for the installation, servicing, and repair of commercial laundry equipment for both internal and external clients. This position emphasizes adherence to quality standards and safety procedures set by Alliance Laundry Systems, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, start-up, operation, and other duties to ensure customer satisfaction following company standards and safety requirements.
  • Provide general customer service by assisting clients with the usage of commercial laundry equipment post-installation.
  • Write accurate reports summarizing work performed.
  • Collaborate in disassembling equipment and parts for maintenance or repair.
  • Assist with research and placement of parts orders, ensuring timely ordering to meet work deadlines.
  • Provide inventory reports on the assigned company vehicle and report company expenses accurately.
  • Travel to customer locations for on-site repairs, troubleshooting, and installations using a company vehicle.
  • Communicate escalations to the Service Manager and contribute to best practices and process improvements.
  • Operate forklift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment while adhering to safety procedures.
  • Maintain upkeep and maintenance of the work vehicle and adhere to DOT regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial, military, industrial, or manufacturing equipment repair preferred.
  • Knowledge of single-phase electric power equipment required.
  • Experience operating equipment including forklift trucks and pallet jacks preferred.
  • Experience in customer support via telephone and email/ticketing systems preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Strong mechanical acumen with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Solid organizational skills and detail-oriented approach.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Resilient and able to navigate ambiguity and change.
  • Strong work ethic and self-starter attitude.
