About the position

USLI is seeking candidates to join our innovative, fun, and collaborative Instant Quote team. This could be your opportunity to transition from a sales or customer service role into underwriting with an A++ rated insurance carrier! We are looking for self-motivated individuals who can make sound decisions, communicate clearly, and provide excellent service to customers while offering insurance quotes over the phone. This position requires a positive and friendly attitude, a high service mindset, strong verbal communication skills, and problem-solving capabilities. The ability to effectively work in a fast-paced team environment is required. If you have the right attitude and you work hard, we will teach you the rest! We have an extensive, creative training program with individualized support and many ways to grow your career. This position requires you to be on-site in our office at least four days per week. The core hours for this position are primarily Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Starting salary in the $60,000 range based on relevant experience, industry knowledge, skills, and expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Provide insurance quotes over the phone to customers.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with customers.
  • Make sound decisions based on customer needs and company policies.
  • Work collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs.

Requirements

  • At least two years prior insurance experience (carrier or agency) OR at least three years prior business experience.
  • Prior business experience in financial services, legal services, or relevant call center experience is preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with a positive and friendly attitude.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with underwriting processes.
