The Institutional Affiliations & Credentialing Specialist is a vital role within the university's clinical education framework, reporting directly to the Senior Administrative Director, Associate Dean of Clinical Education, and Assistant Dean of Clinical Education. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and develop their skills in a supportive environment, with significant oversight from department leadership and senior coordinators. The specialist will engage in various administrative tasks, including data entry, understanding regulatory frameworks, and collaborating with other student coordinators on team projects. The role requires a commitment to following university rules and department policies regarding work and attendance, as well as a proactive approach to problem-solving and resourcefulness in learning the responsibilities associated with the position. The responsibilities of this Tier-1 position include learning and understanding the Clinical Rotations Affiliation Agreements process, which involves preparing, tracking, and maintaining data related to affiliated sites and their preceptors. The specialist will also be responsible for managing Affiliation Agreements routing documents, credentialing process applications, and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of paperwork. Additionally, the role involves preparing adjunct faculty paperwork for review by the CED Deans, utilizing SmartSheet for tracking, and maintaining electronic data for audits. The specialist will assist the Associate Dean, Assistant Dean, and Administrative Director by providing administrative support, generating mailings, and communicating with students, sites, and preceptors through various channels. This position is ideal for candidates who possess strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a keen attention to detail.
