The Institutional Research Analyst / Data Coordinator at Mount Carmel College of Nursing plays a crucial role in supporting the institution's data management and reporting needs. This position is responsible for executing data queries using SQL, ensuring data integrity through meticulous data cleaning, and maintaining the database (Jenzabar One). The analyst will develop and maintain Tableau dashboards to provide insightful reporting for both internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies. The role requires collaboration with various departments to enhance database utilization and promote continuous quality improvement across the college. In this position, the analyst will design complex data queries based on specific inquiries and needs, extract and validate data, and define the scope and format of data files. The analyst will also coordinate and administer institutional surveys, facilitate data reporting required by regulatory and accrediting agencies, and evaluate end-user requests for data while ensuring compliance with institutional review board (IRB) practices and the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). The role involves producing clean data sets for research purposes, combining data from multiple sources for comprehensive analyses, and creating self-service data dashboards for stakeholders. Additionally, the analyst will maintain documentation for reproducibility of analytical processes, develop and maintain process documentation, and assist in evaluating processes to recommend modifications for improved service and accuracy. The position requires a commitment to maintaining the security of student academic records and adherence to federal privacy laws and accreditation standards. The analyst will serve as a resource for database utilization and integration across departments, driving continuous quality improvement in data management practices.
