About the position

The INSTR PROGRAM ACTIVITY COORDINATOR at Sawgrass Elementary is responsible for planning and conducting the Before and After School Care program, ensuring it is a safe and enriching environment for school-age children. This role involves supervising activities and maintaining a supportive atmosphere for participants.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct on-site academic/enrichment program activities for Before and After School Care.
• Ensure a safe and enriching environment for participants.
• Supervise school-age children in a group setting.
• Complete required training and certifications within the first year of employment.
• Attend ongoing training sessions as required each year.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience working with school-age children in a group supervision setting is preferred.
• Complete Child Abuse and Neglect training within the first year.
• Attain First Aid and CPR certification within the first year and maintain certification.
• Demonstrated appropriate personal characteristics for working with children, youth, and adults.
• Computer skills as needed for the position.
