About the position

As an Instructional Systems Designer at Edgesource Corporation, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative training solutions that leverage modern technology. Your week will involve utilizing the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) approach to create instructional and performance improvement materials. You will conduct thorough client needs assessments to identify specific training requirements and develop tailored training plans. This includes performing audience, task, content, media, and technology analyses to ensure that the training solutions are effective and relevant. In addition to developing course content such as lesson plans, storyboards, and graphic ideas, you will also be responsible for creating courses using the client's web-based authoring tool. Collaboration with subject matter experts will be essential to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the training material. Your role will require strong organizational skills as you manage multiple lessons in various stages of production while adhering to deadlines. Excellent communication skills will be vital as you present your ideas and solutions effectively to both clients and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the ADDIE approach for instructional and performance improvement material.
  • Develop and conduct client needs assessments.
  • Conduct needs, audience, task, content, media, and/or technology analyses.
  • Develop training plans, course flows, assessment plans, and testing strategies.
  • Create course content including lesson plans, storyboards, and graphic ideas.
  • Develop courses in the client's web-based authoring tool.
  • Interface with subject matter experts for course content and relevancy of material.

Requirements

  • Between 2-7 years of related experience.
  • Master's degree in Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology, Learning and Development, or a related field is desired.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Experience using web-based authoring tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple lessons in various stages of production and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated team player.
  • Effective written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • A positive attitude, customer focus, and professional demeanor.
