About the position
The Instructional Aide at Aspen Public Schools plays a crucial role in supporting teachers and students within a rigorous educational environment. This part-time position involves assisting with instructional programs, tutoring students, and supervising students during recess and lunch. Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing instructional programs
- Tutor students in reading, writing, and mathematics in groups
- Supervise students during recess and lunch
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the classroom teacher
Requirements
- Ability to instruct reading, writing, and mathematics
- Ability to work well with children
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Background in activities involving students and an interest in working with school-age children
- Experience working in an instructional environment
- Experience or education in child development
- Psychology Degree or experience with ABA therapy or working with challenging behaviors (required)
- Live scan (background check) using Aspen's vendor
- Current TB test
