About the position
The position involves working directly with an assigned classroom teacher to assist in the Special Education instructional program. The role is focused on supporting students with special needs and ensuring they receive the necessary educational assistance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent + two years of college OR
- High school diploma or equivalent + AA degree or higher OR
- High school diploma or equivalent + have a passing score of 70% on the District academic proficiency test
- Knowledge of English grammar and punctuation
- Bilingual-biliterate English/Spanish desirable
- Experience working with students in a school or recreational setting desirable
- Experience working with students with special needs is desirable
- Experience working with parents desirable
