About the position

The Instructional Assistant Personal Care (TK) at Phillips Elementary is responsible for supporting students in a collaborative and inclusive educational environment. This role involves assisting with classroom duties and providing one-on-one support to students, ensuring they receive the necessary care and guidance to thrive academically and socially. Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in the classroom with instructional activities.
• Provide one-on-one support to students as needed.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support students in developing literacy and career-ready skills.
• Encourage student engagement and participation in learning activities.

Requirements

• Proof of passing the Instructional Assistant Proficiency Test or 48 college units.
• Three letters of recommendation (2 personal, 1 from a current or former employer).
• Resume.

Nice-to-haves

• Possession of a current California Teacher Credential.
• Possession of an AA degree or higher.
• Passing the California Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST).
