About the position

The Department of Health, Exercise Science and Recreation Management (HESRM) at the University of Mississippi is seeking applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track position as Instructional Assistant Professor of Exercise Science. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in Exercise Science or closely related field by the start date. The position may begin as early as January 2025 but the start date is negotiable (e.g. Fall 2025). $63K - 75K is the salary range for Instructional Assistant Professors within the School of Applied Sciences. The candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate-level exercise science courses (e.g. Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Foundations of Health and Human Performance, Testing and Prescription, Clinical Testing and Prescription, experiential learning/internship hours, etc.). Other duties may include assisting with student recruitment, retention, and graduation.
