About the position

The Instructional Coach is responsible for training and development initiatives aimed at ensuring data-driven, results-based instruction for students. This role involves assessing staff needs, conducting professional development training, and coordinating instructional activities to implement a post-secondary standards-aligned curriculum effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Train and develop staff to ensure effective implementation of the instructional model.
  • Monitor school-wide progress toward goals through data analysis to meet Key Performance Indicators.
  • Identify instructional needs in collaboration with the leadership team.
  • Coordinate activities of the training department and instructional leadership team.
  • Create training manuals, modules, and multimedia resources for staff development.
  • Facilitate staff development workshops for schools and home office staff.
  • Research and pursue innovative professional development offerings for instructional staff.
  • Coordinate systems for clearing teacher preliminary credentials with chartering districts.
  • Present best practices and data to internal and external stakeholders at meetings and conferences.
  • Research and prepare grant proposals as needed.

Requirements

  • Teaching Certification
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-2 years of teaching experience preferred
  • NCLB compliant in Single Subject required
  • Administrative Credential or Master's Degree preferred
