About the position

Come be a part of a passionate team of educators supporting students & staff as an Instructional Coach. With an emphasis serving schools with diverse and low-socioeconomic student populations and non-traditional learning environments, Skyrocket leadership has over a century's worth of combined experience leading schools and operational support teams. Skyrocket's niche expertise is in the intersection between academic and administrative performance. This role will have a home office with some CA client travel of 20% - 25% plus and an additional 20 days per year in person at the Pasadena, CA headquarters for professional development and company events. Hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Pacific Standard time. PST - CST candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Train and develop initiatives to ensure data-driven, results-based instruction for students.
  • Assess staff needs based on data and conduct professional development training.
  • Develop and maintain new and existing training modules and coordinate instructional activities.
  • Be an organizational expert in the instructional model and aid in the pursuit of academic consistency across schools.
  • Ensure annual Key Performance Indicators are met by consistently monitoring school-wide progress toward goals through data analysis.
  • Work with the leadership team to identify instructional needs.
  • Help coordinate activities of the training department, support staff, instructional leadership team, and curriculum.
  • Create training manuals, modules, materials, and multimedia resources.
  • Maintain tools and resources to reflect current program/instructional procedures and needs.
  • Develop and facilitate staff development workshops for schools and home office staff.
  • Work collaboratively with individuals at the home office and schools in the areas of assessment, research, writing, development, and training.
  • Research and pursue external knowledge and practice to bolster innovative professional development offerings for instructional staff.
  • Coordinate systems for clearing teacher preliminary credentials in conjunction with all chartering districts and local organizations.
  • Facilitate the usage of advanced features of integrated software programs.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of training on content-specific instruction and/or strategies to support post-secondary guidance and development.
  • Present to internal and external stakeholders on best practices and data in meetings and at conferences.
  • Research and prepare grant proposals on an as needed basis.

  • Ability to travel within Southern California up to 30% of the time and within Northern California 10% of the time.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1-2 years of CTE teaching credential preferred or in the process.
  • Administrative Credential or Master's Degree preferred.
  • Grant writing experience preferred.
