About the position

The Instructional Coach (Elementary) position at Out Teach is designed for experienced educators to provide training and coaching to elementary school teachers, focusing on outdoor learning and STEM education. The role involves developing lesson plans, facilitating professional learning, and building relationships with teachers and school administrators to enhance instructional practices. Coaches will deliver services both in-person and virtually, contributing to a 14-week project aimed at embedding experiential learning in schools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate Teacher Professional Learning and Instructional Coaching.
• Write lesson plans and modules in multiple content areas using the 5E instructional model.
• Utilize the Out Teach online platform to share resources with school partners.
• Develop and cultivate relationships at the school level to ensure Learning Labs are embedded in each school's culture.
• Coordinate closely with the Partnership Manager to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Implement elements of the organization's evaluation plan.

Requirements

• A four-year college degree in a relevant field of study is preferred.
• At least five years of experience as an elementary classroom teacher, with three years facilitating outdoor experiential learning.
• Proven effectiveness in coaching and training educators, both virtually and in-person.
• Range of teaching experience across grade levels and content areas with expertise in science and experiential learning best practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
