The Instructional Coach is responsible for providing appropriate instruction to students and ensuring that they meet the learning objectives and standards for their grade level and subject area. This position involves planning and implementing West Virginia academic standards, content, and objectives, as well as adopting and supplementing academic programs. The coach will also implement technology skills, inclusion with special education students, and collaborate with other professional staff to enhance instruction. The role includes administering formative assessments, communicating with students, parents, and peers, and fostering a conducive classroom climate for learning. The coach will also participate in professional development and facilitate the implementation of the adopted curriculum, providing ongoing support and resources to teachers.
