About the position

The Instructional Design and eLearning Intern at Justrite Manufacturing Company, LLC is a hands-on role within the Learning and Development team, aimed at modernizing training materials and enhancing the learning experience. This internship provides an opportunity to work on various projects, including PowerPoint design, Learning Management System (LMS) administration, and assessment development, while collaborating with subject matter experts and presenting findings to management.

Responsibilities

• Update existing PowerPoint presentations to align with adult learning principles
• Implement engaging visual elements and interactive features in training materials
• Ensure consistency in branding and design across all training materials
• Assist in day-to-day management of the company's Learning Management System (LMS)
• Upload and organize course content in the LMS
• Generate reports on learner progress and course completion
• Troubleshoot basic user issues and escalate complex problems
• Create various types of assessments for training courses
• Align assessments with learning objectives and course content
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of assessment items
• Deliver a comprehensive presentation to management and executives at the end of the summer

Requirements

• Current undergraduate student in their Junior or Senior year studying instructional design, educational technology, graphic design, marketing design or related field
• Strong interest in Learning and Development
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and other Office applications
• Familiarity with adult learning theories and instructional design principles
• Keen eye for design and attention to detail
