About the position

The Instructional Design and eLearning Intern at Justrite Safety Group will play a crucial role in modernizing training materials and managing learning systems. This internship offers hands-on experience in enhancing PowerPoint presentations, administering the Learning Management System (LMS), and developing assessments, all while contributing to the company's mission of ensuring safety and excellence in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Update existing PowerPoint presentations to align with adult learning principles.
• Implement engaging visual elements and interactive features in training materials.
• Assist in day-to-day management of the company's Learning Management System (LMS).
• Upload and organize course content within the LMS.
• Generate reports on learner progress and course completion.
• Troubleshoot basic user issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
• Create various types of assessments for training courses, including multiple-choice quizzes and case studies.
• Align assessments with learning objectives and course content.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of assessment items.
• Deliver a comprehensive presentation to management and executives at the end of the internship.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate student in their Junior or Senior year studying instructional design, educational technology, graphic design, marketing design, or a related field.
• Strong interest in Learning and Development.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and other Office applications.
• Familiarity with adult learning theories and instructional design principles.
• Keen eye for design and attention to detail.
