About the position

The Instructional Design Assistant position at Keiser University is designed to support the Course Design Team in managing and configuring the Learning Management System (LMS) Blackboard and the Student Information System Anthology Student. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot various educational technologies used by faculty, staff, and students. The position is hybrid, requiring two days on-site work each week.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Course Design Team with tasks related to the Learning Management System (LMS) Blackboard and Anthology Student.
  • Respond to support cases regarding the LMS, Kaltura, Collaborate, HTML, and other tools.
  • Handle multiple ticket systems and provide timely responses to inquiries.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and written skills in all interactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in administrative duties and instructional design knowledge in an LMS system in higher education.

Nice-to-haves

  • Some knowledge of programming.
  • 1 year of experience with Blackboard LMS.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and learner-centered activities in an online environment.
  • 2 years of experience in designing and managing online classes using dynamic and interactive tools.
