About the position

The Instructional Design Assistant position at Keiser University is designed to support the Course Design Team by managing tasks related to the Learning Management System (LMS) Blackboard and the Student Information System Anthology Student. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. The assistant will handle support cases, manage multiple ticket systems, and communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Course Design Team with tasks related to the LMS and Anthology Student.
  • Respond to support cases regarding the LMS, Kaltura, Collaborate, and other tools.
  • Manage multiple ticket systems and ensure timely responses to inquiries.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and written skills in all interactions.
  • Assist in the configuration and management of the LMS platform.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in administrative duties and instructional design in an LMS system in higher education.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year of experience with Blackboard LMS.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and learner-centered activities in an online environment.
  • 2 years of experience in designing and managing online classes using dynamic tools.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, Captivate, Photoshop, and Web 2.0 tools.
