About the position

Join AZAD as an Instructional Designer and support the technical training organization within a regional electric utility. This role involves consulting with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and convert technical and safety courses into Web-based Training (WBT) courses using various tools, including Toolbook and Adobe Captivate. The position is hybrid, requiring 1-2 days on-site weekly in Vancouver, Washington, and offers a high probability of long-term employment.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop courses.
• Create or convert existing technical and safety courses into Web-based Training (WBT) courses using Toolbook and Adobe Captivate.
• Create content and questions for training courses.
• Provide subject matter expertise for special projects, including assisting partner organizations with training efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in educational design, education training & development, or a related field is desirable.
• 1 year of experience as an Instructional System Development (ISD) Designer, Training Specialist, or Course Developer required.
• Proficiency with Adobe software development products: Flash, Audition, Premiere Pro, Bridge, Standard, In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Experience with Toolbook, Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate, Basic HTML script, SnagIt, Visio Pro, MS InfoPath, Nintex.
• Proficiency with SharePoint sufficient to create and maintain content, sites, pages, links, and InfoPaths.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Word.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft software such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License is required.
