About the position

The Instructional Designer 3 at TEKsystems is responsible for developing and coordinating a variety of learning programs within a dynamic product team. This role requires a high level of creativity and adaptability to meet the demands of a fast-paced technology environment. The designer will create engaging learning solutions, collaborate with subject matter experts, and manage multiple projects to ensure successful implementation of training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, analyze, and create visual solutions to communication problems.
  • Develop overall layout and production design of publications or web interfaces as they relate to graphic design.
  • Prepare sketches or layouts to present to clients.
  • Create charts and graphs from data given.
  • Work with stakeholders to determine learning needs and develop best-in-class learning solutions.
  • Develop, write, and coordinate learning sources and materials with subject matter experts.
  • Function as a Project or Program Manager to see learning efforts to implementation.
  • Design multi-tiered learning solutions including Instructor-led training, e-learning, video, and podcast modalities.
  • Curate learning sources and content library to support broad employee and talent pools.
  • Partner with facilitators to ensure the implementation of programs.
  • Manage and provide reporting across the training organization.
  • Develop solutions for the Learning Management System to support various audiences.
  • Create engaging and storytelling presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Lead meetings and articulate the training roadmap and goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as instructional technology, educational technology, or organizational development.
  • 4 years of relevant experience in instructional design development.
  • 5 years of experience developing and executing strategies for creative and innovative training solutions.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and keeping tasks on track.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with individuals and groups to carry out training goals.
  • Instructional design experience supporting retail/sales including e-learning and rapid design principles.
  • Expert proficiency with Articulate Storyline and Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Design Premium.
  • Experience in Captivate, Camtasia, Flash, HTML5, and Adobe Acrobat X Pro.
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and emerging learning technology.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail customer service and/or sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop AR/VR content.
  • Experience in designing and developing web-based content.
