The Instructional Designer/Accessibility Specialist at UC Clermont College is responsible for designing, creating, and revising learning experiences and Canvas courses for online, hybrid, and in-person learning environments. The specialist will partner with faculty and subject matter experts (SMEs) to apply core instructional design principles and theories in the development of accessible learning materials and courses. They will provide ongoing support and training to faculty and staff in developing accessible digital and electronic learning materials. The role also involves evaluating and recommending instructional technologies and tools that enhance learning, accessibility, and usability. Monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of instructional materials, training, and workshops is crucial, with revisions made based on feedback and data collected. The position requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accessibility standards and state and federal laws, working collaboratively with a team to manage online courses and program development, and fostering open communication with partners.
