About the position

At Alpha Schools, we are on a mission to revolutionize education for K-8 students, empowering them with essential life skills that go beyond traditional academic subjects. In this in-person role located at our Austin, TX campus, you will be at the forefront of this transformation, utilizing cutting-edge AI technology to design and implement engaging workshops that focus on practical skills such as public speaking, storytelling, entrepreneurship, and financial acumen. Your creative genius will be essential in crafting high-impact life skills workshops that not only captivate students but also equip them with the tools they need to succeed in the real world. As an Instructional Designer, you will have the autonomy to develop a rigorous curriculum that challenges students to achieve remarkable tasks for their age. You will be responsible for designing objective and reliable grading systems and assessment tools to evaluate students' baseline skills, progress, and mastery. Your role will involve leveraging insights from on-campus observations, student feedback, and parent input to continuously refine and enhance the life skills activities you create. Collaboration with fellow team members and facilitators will be key to ensuring that the workshops you design exceed expectations in quality and effectiveness. This position is not about creating entertaining activities that lack educational value or producing passive, lecture-based materials. Instead, you will focus on developing dynamic, hands-on learning experiences that translate to real-world applications, fostering a love for learning and personal growth in every student. If you are ready to shape the future of education and make a lasting impact on young learners, we invite you to apply and join us in reimagining the learning experience at Alpha Schools.
