About the position

The Instructional Designer and Learning Partner at US Signal is responsible for designing and developing educational content, managing the Learning Management System (LMS), and delivering training sessions to ensure successful learning outcomes. This role combines technical expertise with instructional design and effective training delivery to enhance employee engagement and development. The position requires collaboration with various departments to ensure compliance and alignment with the company's cultural values.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement engaging learning materials in collaboration with department leaders and subject matter experts.
  • Lead the filming, recording, and editing of eLearning modules, instructional guides, videos, quizzes, and assessments.
  • Administer training content efficiently while meeting organizational goals and learning objectives.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify knowledge or skills gaps and develop content to address these gaps.
  • Ensure content accessibility and alignment with instructional design principles and adult learning theory best practices.
  • Continuously update and improve course materials based on feedback and new technologies.
  • Act as a recording coach for SMEs during content recording sessions.
  • Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), including user management and content uploads.
  • Oversee LMS data management, ensuring accurate tracking of course completion and learner progress.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to the LMS and provide support to users.
  • Perform regular audits of the LMS to ensure proper functioning and user satisfaction.
  • Support evidence gathering related to training activities for audits.
  • Deliver instructor-led and virtual training sessions, ensuring effective communication of content.
  • Facilitate workshops and seminars to enhance skills and knowledge within the organization.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and collect feedback for improvements.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching or support to learners as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Certification in instructional design or training methodologies.
  • Experience with video editing and multimedia content creation tools.
  • Knowledge of SCORM, xAPI, or other eLearning standards.
  • Proven experience in content development, instructional design, or eLearning development.
  • Experience in administering and managing Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong presentation and training facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools.
  • Technical troubleshooting skills and a basic understanding of web-based technologies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
