PeaceHealth is seeking a full-time Instructional Designer for CareConnect Training in Vancouver, Washington. This role involves creating engaging learning activities and course content related to the CareConnect (Epic) Electronic Health Record application suite. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for enhancing, supporting, and maintaining the CareConnect training environments, as well as supporting other CareConnect projects. This position requires consultation with leaders, program managers, analysts, and other training professionals to assess education needs for leaders and caregivers. Collaboration with various training, operational, and support departments is essential to conduct system-wide training assessments and develop curricula that align with strategic goals and initiatives. The Instructional Designer will design and deliver standardized system training programs that are aligned with operational workflows for diverse audiences, addressing both team and individual accountabilities. Mentoring and supporting Credentialed Trainers (CTs) in delivering training and responding to caregiver needs is a key aspect of this role. The position also involves completing the analysis, design, development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of complex training programs using PeaceHealth training standards, processes, and templates. The designer will measure and compare results to desired outcomes and objectives. In addition, the role includes configuring, testing, and maintaining the CareConnect training environment to support simulations and scenario-based learning. The Instructional Designer will work closely with Application & Technical team members to ensure consistency between Production and Training Environments. They will utilize learning theory and technical knowledge to create and deliver structured educational experiences that enhance learners' skills in the EHR. The position requires conducting both in-person and remote instructor-led education for caregivers as needed. The Instructional Designer will also be responsible for implementing and upgrading existing systems, coordinating support plans, preparing test data, executing test plans, and processing test results for the CareConnect training environments. They will analyze ticket trends and stakeholder feedback to identify caregiver performance gaps and root causes, and design, develop, and maintain application-specific training materials, instructor manuals, eLearning modules, job aids, and documentation procedures using standardized tools and templates. The role includes developing and communicating new and updated materials to credentialed trainers and ensuring they are equipped to support caregivers in their assigned application areas. The Instructional Designer will lead small to medium-sized training projects and contribute to the improvement and standardization of training processes and documentation.
