PeaceHealth is seeking a full-time Instructional Designer for CareConnect Training in Vancouver, Washington. This role is pivotal in creating engaging learning activities and course content related to the CareConnect (Epic) Electronic Health Record application suite. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for enhancing, supporting, and maintaining the CareConnect training environments while also supporting other CareConnect projects. This position involves consulting with leaders, program managers, analysts, and other training professionals to assess and address the education needs of leaders and caregivers. Collaboration with various training, operational, and support departments is essential to conduct system-wide training assessments and develop curricula that align with strategic goals and initiatives. The Instructional Designer will design and deliver standardized system training programs that are aligned with operational workflows, catering to a diverse audience and addressing both team and individual accountabilities. Mentorship and support for Credentialed Trainers (CTs) in delivering training and responding to caregiver needs is also a key responsibility. The role encompasses the complete analysis, design, development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of complex training programs, adhering to PeaceHealth training standards, processes, and templates. The designer will measure and compare training results against desired outcomes and objectives, ensuring the training environment is configured, tested, and maintained to support simulations and scenario-based learning. In addition, the Instructional Designer will serve as an advisor to stakeholders on appropriate delivery modalities for caregiver audiences, conduct both in-person and remote instructor-led education, and implement or upgrade existing systems and features. The role requires coordination and development of support plans, preparation of test data, execution of test plans, and processing of test results for the CareConnect training environments. The designer will also analyze ticket trends and stakeholder feedback to identify caregiver performance gaps and root causes, designing and maintaining application-specific training materials, instructor manuals, eLearning modules, job aids, and documentation procedures using standardized tools and templates. This position is integral to ensuring that CTs are well-equipped to support caregivers in their assigned application areas, developing and implementing Train-the-Trainer and credentialing programs for other training roles, super users, preceptors, and support services caregivers. The Instructional Designer will lead small to medium-sized training projects, contribute to the improvement and standardization of training processes, and support logistics coordination for training activities.
