The Instructional Designer - Clinical Informatics is a pivotal role within the healthcare training sector, focusing on the design, development, and delivery of training programs for health information systems. This position requires an experienced educational training professional who is adept at applying adult learning behavior theory in practical settings. The Instructional Designer will work independently to manage a comprehensive range of responsibilities, demonstrating a broad knowledge of the job and the ability to analyze diverse problems and issues to determine effective solutions. In this role, the Instructional Designer will be responsible for creating and conducting training sessions for both clinical and non-clinical end-users, ensuring that the training aligns with the organizational strategic plan, regulatory requirements, and clinical outcomes. The position involves planning and delivering both classroom and virtual training sessions, as well as providing assistance to end-users facing system functionality issues. Collaboration with cross-functional departments is essential to design and deliver educational content that meets the learning needs of various stakeholders, including nursing, clinical, diagnostics, clinics, and specialty service lines. The Instructional Designer will also maintain training materials for assigned modules, prepare classrooms with necessary equipment and materials, and assist with scheduling and communication across teams.
