About the position

The Senior Instructional Designer at Apple will play a crucial role in developing and delivering technology-based instructional materials and curricula aimed at empowering the global student app developer community. This position involves collaborating with various teams to create engaging educational content, including coding tutorials and video resources, while also analyzing the effectiveness of these materials through user feedback and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with product marketing, developer relations, and other teams to create educational content.
• Develop and design coding tutorials, articles, and other resources.
• Build engaging coding exercises and projects for Swift and SwiftUI.
• Engage with the coding community to gather feedback and improve content.
• Produce video content to supplement written materials.
• Review and analyze content effectiveness through user feedback and metrics.
• Translate complex technical concepts into accessible content.
• Maintain version control and update content regularly.
• Collaborate with instructional designers to align content with learning objectives.
• Promote content through various marketing channels.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience designing professional learning and educational content.
• Experience scripting in Swift and Xcode.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• College degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technical Writing, Education, or a related field.
