About the position

The Instructional Designer Consultant at Palladium is responsible for designing a comprehensive training program aimed at enhancing the competencies and skills of staff managing complex donor-funded programs worldwide. This role involves creating engaging learning experiences through various formats, including classroom training, e-learning, and job aids, while ensuring the training materials are scalable for a global audience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct effective stakeholder, subject matter expert, and learner interviews for the identification and curation of relevant content for the end-learner
  • Design training curriculums with proposed structure, platform, content, activities, and assessments that align to the identified learning objectives
  • Review existing training materials to identify appropriate platforms and content for e-learning modules
  • Propose improvements to enhance existing content, methodologies, tools, and templates to align to identified learning objectives
  • Identify and apply technical and behavioral performance improvement solutions to help achieve learning objectives
  • Design facilitator guides for various modes of training delivery and content
  • Design evaluation tools to measure training effectiveness and learning retention, with a focus on behaviorally-based assessments and evaluation methods
  • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Instructional design experience working with faculty/instructors/subject matter experts to design, develop and support delivery of instruction
  • Demonstrated knowledge or expertise in the design of web-based training platforms for diverse, multi-national audiences
  • Ability to produce superior writing and communications products
  • Specialized experience in one or more of the above-mentioned content areas a plus.
