About the position

The Instructional Designer role at Vertin Company is focused on designing and developing training curriculum and work processes aimed at enhancing employee and leader effectiveness. This position collaborates closely with the Sr. Business Partner in Learning, Engagement, and Culture to execute initiatives that improve employee experience and engagement across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Co-lead and manage all aspects of curriculum development for Vertin organization-wide.
  • Recommend, design, and develop a suite of associate and leadership development programs based on organizational strategies and defined needs.
  • Collaborate with business partners and subject matter experts to develop relevant content for processes, procedures, system workflows, and business management needs.
  • Administer all aspects of Vertin's Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Manage Vertin's competency library, onboarding learning paths, and compliance training series.
  • Track and report on associate training compliance.
  • Assist with Learning, Engagement, and Culture (LEC) programs and initiatives.
  • Design and implement programs that engage and enhance employee experience, including engagement surveys and employee initiatives.
  • Administer Vertin's intranet, generating and sourcing content to meet learning, communication, recognition, and engagement needs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Understanding of e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Visio, and SnagIt.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Excellent writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prepare and present professional and comprehensive presentations to individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build productive relationships.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree and/or teaching certificate preferred.
  • 5-7 years of training or teaching experience; related project management experience preferred.
  • Experience in a consumer-facing industry, such as hospitality, healthcare, or funeral services.
