About the position

The Instructional Designer at Penn State Health is responsible for designing and creating instructional materials to support Clinical Nurse Educators and various educational initiatives. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts to establish learning objectives and utilizing modern instructional design technologies and methodologies to enhance educational delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design and create instructional materials for Clinical Nurse Educators.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify learning objectives.
• Utilize educational technologies to support web-based instruction and self-directed learning.
• Stay current with instructional design technologies and theories.
• Support the curriculum development team in implementing effective delivery methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Instructional Technology, Adult Education or related discipline.
• Three years of experience in instructional design or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong proficiency with graphic design and multimedia tools such as Articulate, Captivate, Flash, Lectora, and Photoshop.
