About the position

The Instructional Designer/Developer/Instructor for Technical Instructor Led Training at Spectra Tech, Inc. is a pivotal role that involves engaging in all phases of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT). This position is primarily focused on the Analysis, Design, and Development stages of training programs. The selected candidate will be responsible for collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify training needs and gaps, ensuring that the training content is relevant, effective, and aligned with organizational goals. In this role, the Instructional Technologist will actively participate in the design and development of Technical Instructor Led training programs. This includes creating instructional materials, developing assessments, and utilizing various instructional design methodologies to enhance the learning experience. The expectation is to contribute to a quality revision and improvement initiative for technical classroom training, ensuring that the training programs are not only informative but also engaging and interactive for participants. The Instructional Designer/Developer/Instructor will also be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and assessment results, making necessary adjustments to improve future training sessions. This role requires a strong understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to apply them in a technical training environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for all participants.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in instructional design and development, particularly in technical training environments.
  • Strong understanding of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and stakeholders.
  • Experience in creating instructional materials and assessments.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with e-learning development tools and software.
