We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Instructional Designer/Developer to support a federal law enforcement client's Open Source Intelligence Program, focused on detecting threats to specific people, locations, and events. In this role, you will leverage your strong visual design skills, experience with e-learning tools, and collaborative spirit to develop engaging and effective training modules across various formats. Your work will directly contribute to the mission-critical operations of national security. As an Instructional Designer/Developer, you will take ownership of the instructional design process, ensuring that all training products have a consistent and engaging look and feel. You will work closely within a small, agile training team to collaboratively design and develop high-impact training programs. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing dynamic e-learning modules using tools such as Storyline, Captivate, or Lectora, ensuring that all content is interactive and tailored to the needs of the learners. You will also be responsible for collaborating with open source intelligence subject matter experts to gather accurate content, validate course materials, and iterate on designs based on feedback. Ensuring that all e-learning content is SCORM-compliant and meets 508 accessibility standards will be crucial, as you contribute to the creation of inclusive and accessible training materials. You will apply proven instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, Kirkpatrick) to create effective, data-driven learning experiences, and conduct rigorous testing and troubleshooting of e-learning modules to ensure flawless functionality and a superior user experience. Continuous improvement will be a key aspect of your role, as you maintain and update existing training materials as needed, staying ahead of industry trends to continuously enhance learning outcomes.
