About the position

The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing and developing instructional materials that incorporate instructional design principles and technologies. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create curriculum that integrates effective instructional strategies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality learning experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop instructional materials using instructional design principles and technologies.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to design curriculum.
  • Integrate instructional strategies into the delivery of learning experiences.
  • Utilize course development software and Learning Management Systems for course creation.
  • Write effective instructional text, audio scripts, and video scripts.

Requirements

  • Strong instructional design background required.
  • Excellent verbal, writing, and listening skills.
  • Solid organizational, time, and task management capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills.
  • Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System.
  • Thorough knowledge of Articulate Presenter, Articulate Storyline, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and collaboration software.
  • Excellent computer and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, graphic design, visual communications, or related field preferred.
