About the position

The position at FST involves creating and updating instructional materials and training processes for both employees and customers. The role serves as the primary point of contact for administrative needs related to the company's intranet and Learning Management System (LMS). The individual will design engaging learning experiences, manage multiple projects, and ensure that all training content is current and relevant, while fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and updating all processes and training material for employees and customers.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for all administrative needs related to FST's intranet site and the Learning Management System.
  • Building and maintaining partnerships with high-level decision-makers in various organizations.
  • Designing content to optimize learning and redesigning content to meet learners' needs.
  • Creating visual, audio, and interactive learning tools.
  • Designing and developing instructional materials, including course outlines and lesson plans, ensuring alignment with learning objectives.
  • Applying instructional design principles to create engaging learning experiences using various delivery methods.
  • Creating multimedia content, such as presentations, videos, and simulations, to enhance the learning experience.
  • Ensuring content is current, accurate, and relevant, updating materials as needed.
  • Facilitating training sessions for diverse audiences, adapting delivery methods to meet participants' needs.
  • Fostering an inclusive and participatory learning environment, encouraging collaboration among participants.
  • Utilizing LMS and other technology platforms to deliver and track training initiatives.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and ensuring quality and consistency of instructional materials.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of Learning Management Systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • 5+ years of instructional design experience.
  • Strong business acumen and time management skills.
  • Ability to assess, create, and manage process design and documentation.
  • Ability to rapidly learn new software applications and functionality.
  • Experience with developing and delivering training programs.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite, including Outlook, Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in business, technical, or a related field or equivalent experience in instructional design.
