The Instructional Designer for Foundational Math is responsible for designing, planning, coordinating, and conducting professional development workshops that focus on pedagogical and technological strategies for mathematics faculty and teaching teams. The primary goal of this role is to enhance student success through engaging and inclusive teaching practices. The designer will collaborate closely with the Director of the Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE), course coordinators, and instructors to collect and analyze data that informs course design and pedagogy. This position also involves providing support to course coordinators and individual instructors in the development and implementation of various active learning principles across different instructional modes, including in-person, blended, remote, and online formats. In addition to workshop facilitation, the Instructional Designer will assist the CFE Director in planning and implementing effective course design strategies, which may include the creation and integration of appropriate media elements. The role also encompasses managing professional development initiatives, data collection, and reporting on key performance indicators that align with institutional and CFE goals. Participation in relevant committees related to teaching, learning, and educational technology is also expected. This is a full-time position with a flexible/hybrid work schedule option, allowing for both remote and on-campus work in Bowling Green, Ohio. The position is initially for one year, with the possibility of extension based on funding availability.
