About the position

Montana Tech is looking for four Instructional Designers to enhance the delivery of traditional engineering degrees through the development of high-quality online courses. These positions will involve collaboration with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to ensure that course content is accessible and engaging for a diverse student body.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with disciplinary experts to convert existing content into online courses.
• Conduct systematic reviews of course materials with input from all contributors, including an External Advisory Board.
• Create engaging and effective asynchronous courses that meet grant provider standards.
• Work closely with subject matter experts, course facilitators, and teaching assistants to ensure course quality.
• Pay close attention to detail and maintain strong organizational skills throughout the course development process.

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in instructional design or a related field.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with online course development tools and platforms.
• Familiarity with engineering education and curriculum design.
