About the position

The Instructional Designer I at Yardi Systems is responsible for creating engaging eLearning courses that enhance learner retention. This role involves collaborating with industry experts and management to gather feedback and ensure courses meet company standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and experience with authoring tools, contributing to the development of effective training solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop basic courses by defining learning objectives, creating exercises, and writing assessments to facilitate learner retention.
• Create content and analyze feedback from industry experts, clients, and management.
• Select visual components for training courses with attention to detail.
• Utilize in-platform authoring tools and engagement strategies to maximize retention.
• Review externally produced training content and develop online courses adhering to Yardi's standards.
• Document requests for software enhancements to Development.
• Review content produced by team members and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain project management documentation and collaborate with team members across the U.S.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience creating engaging content for adult learners in technology, leadership, and soft skills.
• 2 years of experience with Yardi's software and service offerings, including Yardi eLearning or other corporate tools.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks on time in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Teaching, Instructional Design, Communications, Marketing, Technical Writing, Graphic Design, or Multimedia.
• Certification or training in Multimedia, Writing, Graphic Design, or Project Management.
• Understanding of the property management industry, accounting principles, and Yardi products and services.
• Experience in conducting technical, safety, leadership, or professional skills training, procedure writing, formal teaching, or mentorship.
• Experience in planning, scheduling, and facilitating meetings.
