About the position

The Instructional Designer II at MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. is responsible for designing and developing training programs, e-learning content, and instructional materials aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of employees. This role focuses primarily on creating learning materials for internal users, with occasional support for client training. The position requires a blend of instructional design expertise and the ability to analyze and address training needs effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current training needs and design, develop, implement, and evaluate training programs.
  • Determine instructional goals and objectives by assessing the target audience's knowledge and skills.
  • Identify user needs and organize complex technical information into engaging training programs.
  • Develop strategies for achieving learning outcomes and document instructional design strategies.
  • Research course content by consulting subject matter experts and relevant materials.
  • Create interactive training materials, including presentations, guides, and exercises.
  • Implement training delivery processes, including training facilitators and direct training of learners.
  • Deliver training through various formats, including e-learning and instructor-led sessions.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and provide feedback opportunities.
  • Produce materials to educate internal departments about Medicare and other programs.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and efficient use of technology for training documentation.
  • Meet with corporate customers to understand and respond to training requests.
  • Develop and deliver new hire training programs and monitor employee progress.
  • Participate in self-development to stay current on instructional design concepts.
  • Assist management in identifying emerging training needs based on regulatory guidance.
  • Recommend training strategies to leadership for implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 9+ years of related training experience, including instructional design and classroom training.
  • 5+ years of experience in creating instructor-led and e-learning materials.
  • 1+ year experience with Government Regulatory agency protocols.
  • Strong working knowledge of instructional design software and tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Articulate).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in instructional design or education technology.
  • Experience within the healthcare industry.
  • Industry certifications in instructional design or curriculum development.
