About the position

The Instructional Designer II position at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi is responsible for analyzing educational needs and designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating e-learning instruction. This role collaborates closely with faculty and instructors to create engaging learning experiences and fully online courses, as well as blended learning opportunities for students.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and develops eLearning modules and courses with instructors.
  • Provides awareness of campus resources and services available for online/distance students.
  • Provides coordinated and effective technology support and professional development to instructors and students.
  • Builds and maintains databases that serve as a comprehensive record of campus services for online students and instructor accomplishments in Distance Education.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of distance learning resources and services, establishing benchmarks for improvement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field.
  • Two years of related experience in instructional design.
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Knowledge of online course design principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and instructional technologies.
