The Instructional Designer - II position is a long-term contract role that offers the flexibility of remote work. The primary focus of this role is to develop training content for various teams within the client Business organization. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for creating both instructor-led and virtual learning assets, which include functional new hire training, continuing education, and training for priority business initiatives or products/services/systems that require effective execution. This position requires a strong background in instructional design and development, as well as technical writing skills to capture process documentation for performance support. In this role, the Instructional Designer will analyze learning needs and collaborate with subject matter experts and clients to provide valuable input for course content and design. The position demands a collaborative approach, working alongside other training workgroups and stakeholders to develop the most effective training materials using an agile methodology. The designer will also be tasked with creating knowledge and skill assessments, role-plays, activities, and job aids based on the results of the needs analysis. Ensuring the relevance, quality, and accuracy of tools and processes is crucial, which will involve conducting end-user testing and validation. Additionally, the Instructional Designer will be responsible for creating trainer certification materials and leading Master Trainer certifications as part of the program rollout and launch. This role requires excellent written communication skills and proficiency in eLearning development tools such as Storyline, Rise, and Camtasia, along with experience in graphic design and editing software like Snagit or Photoshop. A college degree is required for this position, and candidates should possess a strong understanding of adult learning principles and program management skills.
