About the position

We are in search of a hard-working, creative, remote instructional designer to create training solutions for both external customers and internal sales teams. Our ideal candidate is highly adaptable, self-sufficient, and detail-oriented. This candidate excels in a high-speed environment and finds pleasure in handling multiple projects simultaneously. This individual must possess excellent teamwork qualities along with strong communication and consultative abilities. The primary responsibilities include conducting needs analysis from multiple sources and identifying learning objectives to determine the skills and knowledge gaps that the organization needs to address. The instructional designer will collaborate in a consultative manner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and internal stakeholders to gather information, review content, and propose effective instructional design techniques. Additionally, they will develop instructional materials which include needs analysis, storyboards, eLearning modules, training videos, assessments, graphic/multimedia designs, and documentation/job aids/guides. Managing multiple projects simultaneously is crucial, including setting deadlines, coordinating with team members, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct needs analysis from multiple sources and identify learning objectives to determine the skills and knowledge gaps that the organization needs to address.
  • Collaborate in a consultative manner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and internal stakeholders to gather information, review content, and propose effective instructional design techniques.
  • Develop instructional materials which include needs analysis, storyboards, eLearning modules, training videos, assessments, graphic/multimedia designs, and documentation/job aids/guides.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including setting deadlines, coordinating with team members, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in education, instructional design, or related field (sufficient experience in place of a degree is not authorized).
  • 5+ years of instructional design experience required.
  • Ability to translate training needs into practical learning solutions.
  • Knowledge and use of adult learning theory, the systemic design of instruction, Bloom's Taxonomy, and performance improvement methodologies to create engaging training content.
  • Expert user in Articulate 360 Cloud (Storyline and Rise), Camtasia, SnagIt, and Adobe Creative Suites.

Nice-to-haves

  • Foreign language speaking (this is a bonus).
  • Experience working on a global sales enablement team or creating training for sales.
  • Experience with section 508 web-content accessibility guidelines.
