About the position

The Instructional Designer II position at The Haskell Company involves creating engaging and effective learning materials across various platforms. The role requires collaboration with subject matter experts to design high-quality instructional content, utilizing best practices in instructional design and e-learning development tools.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop high-quality instructional materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions.
  • Apply instructional design theories and best practices to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Utilize authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar to develop interactive e-learning content.
  • Develop toolkits, guides, and performance support aids using standardized instructional design methodology.
  • Conduct needs assessments and analyze learner profiles to tailor instructional materials appropriately.
  • Evaluate and revise existing training materials to ensure they meet current standards and learning objectives.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Training and Development, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in instructional design or a related role.
  • Proficiency with e-learning development tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning and Performance or similar desired).
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration.
  • Knowledge of graphic design principles and multimedia development.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices in instructional design.
