About the position

The Instructional Designer III is a senior-level role focused on leading the design and development of innovative learning solutions across various formats, including e-learning and instructor-led training. This position requires extensive experience in instructional design, project management, and collaboration with stakeholders. The designer will mentor junior team members and ensure that all learning solutions align with organizational goals and maintain high quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of complex learning solutions, including e-learning modules and instructor-led training.
  • Apply advanced instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create engaging learning experiences.
  • Utilize multimedia and authoring tools to create high-quality learning materials.
  • Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive learning solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and subject matter experts to assess learning needs and propose solutions.
  • Mentor and coach junior instructional designers, providing guidance on techniques and project management.
  • Establish and enforce quality standards for instructional design deliverables.
  • Conduct evaluations of learning programs to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in instructional design with a proven record of leading complex projects.
  • Certification in instructional design or project management preferred.
  • High proficiency with e-learning authoring tools and LMS platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in instructional design or project management (e.g., CPLP, PMP).
  • Experience with document design software such as MS Publisher or Adobe InDesign.
